 I have the IDEAL SITUATION IN THE TRAINING FACILITY for coonhound training. In the beginning the pups will not run unless it is a red-hot track. I can walk the pups within 25 feet of the coons on the ground; you do not get any better than that for coonhound training. Many hunters that have seen this can verify what I'm saying. To get this kind of track you would have to drive many miles and spend a lot of gas money and still not be able to get the kind of tracks the pup will strike, run, and tree. You may find tracks the pup will tag along with another dog. You do not want a me to dog, you want one to run and tree the coon alone. MY GOAL IS TO GET EVERY PUP TO RUN AND TREE BY HIM/HER SELF IN THE COONHOUND TRAINING FACILITY. Therefore, I hunt the pups alone in order to do this. I DO NOT HUNT THE DOGS IN PACKS. The set-up I have here is the most economical and sure way to find out what kind of natural ability your dog has. You will be able to make a reasonable decision about your dog before you waste months of time and money that may end only in frustration and disappointment.
